Sun and Surf

Hey Random Readers!

The mercury reached 85 degrees today. I walked to Borders bookstore and I felt like a tortoise walking across the desert in the equatorial sun. It's December and I'm getting pits from walking! I'm definitely not in Virginia anymore.

Keeping with the beach weather in December theme, forecasters are expecting big swells along the coast by the end of the week. The water is still quite cold (50 degrees) but the waves are supposed to be in the 8-12 feet range. Not quite as big as Jaws in Maui.

But there shouldn't be any incidents like this one.

Now that surfer made the tragic error of having great white sharks as wave pals and he got a little boo-boo which will heal in time. What never heals is the scar of starring in a dramatic series written by Zalman King, as a cowboy surfer in Hawaii with Bo Derek playing your Mom. Sadly my friends, there is no remedy for that ailment.

Would gladly trade places with you, coming up from FL to NC its colder than we can stand herein this cabin. Wildnerness is nice and all..but we're just city girls...and we like heat! Sure gonna miss our days of wearing flipflops and walking to the beach everyday! Enjoy it for us. :)
